Sheena

Sheena has been working in the animal industry since 2001, starting her animal training career working with primates.  During this time she found her love for animal behavior and training. In 2015 Sheena decided to specialize in dogs, completing a three hundred hour dog training immersion program at The Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers in Santa Rosa, California. Courses she completed included Puppy Development, Obedience Intensive, Advanced Obedience, E-Collar, Detection 1 along with many other classes.

In 2017 Sheena returned to California to attend the Detection 2 class. Sheena has been a member of The Yankee Waterfowler’s Hunting Retriever Club and competed in HRC Hunting Competitions while receiving Started level 1 titles for both her American Black Labradors. Sheena has provided private training with pet dog owners; focusing on Behavioral Modification, Management, and Basic Obedience. She has also taught Puppy classes and Scent Work.

In addition to training Sheena has also worked as a Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Surgical Technician, Enrichment Technician, and Doggy Daycare Supervisor.  Sheena continues to work toward advancing her own dogs in hunting and scent work.
